As with most things online, the things we see are made possible by complex processes that occur behind the scenes in the blink of an eye. Modern online display advertising (powered by real-time bidding) is no different. The whole bidding process happens in a fraction of a second.

We thought it would be helpful to slow down the process to show how each impression is evaluated and auctioned off in mere milliseconds (i.e., real time) before a page loads. Our goal was to do this in 30 seconds. The result is this video. Enjoy!
